Scott and Todd to set up shop at the Reo Diner

Radio DJs Scott Shannon and Todd Pettingill are two wacky and loveable DJs who host WPLJ's Big Show. We at the Reo are lucky to have them host their show, right here in booth number 10, for their "We Love New Jersey" tribute on January 9 - 13.
Scott and Todd were first introduced to the Reo through their executive producer "Monkeyboy". Monk, as he is called, visits family in the Woodbridge area. He stated," I always stopped by the Reo after visiting my mom and dad, it has become a tradition. When we heard about the Reo revamp my mom got worried. She thought it was going to become a Panera Bread place. Luckily for us, it was all about organic food and healthy living."

Scott and Todd could not hear enough of Monk's recommendations of the Reo before they were armed to take action. They stopped by and were floored by the food. They scarfed down favorites such as our Greek grilled chicken platter, paninis and fresh salads. Everyone was overcome by the soft, succulent BBQ cheeseburgers with beer battered onion rings. The  turkey sandwiches with sweet potato remoulade and cranberry compote were gone within minutes. We had to send Rafael, our man in the kitchen, to prepare some more. Folks wanted to bring some home!!!

We were able to regale stories of Bob Grant holding court in booth number 10 in the 80s. Scott said," Monk's faced beamed bigger than my security light on my back porch. He thought it would be perfect for our tribute to New Jersey. He began scribbling info about logistics and business cards were flying. You can't stop Monk when he's on a roll; or partaking of one with butter."
If you want to meet Scott, Todd and the morning crew, keep the dates open (1/9/12 - 1/12/12). Check on this blog for the list of guests, including Jon Bonjiovi and Lorraine Braco and more information about the show.
